Task 1 (TSL641)

Assalamualaikum and Bismillah(In the name of Allah the most gracious and mercifull) First let me introduce myself. My name is Khuzaimah Ibrahim and I am 25++. Currently I'm staying in S.A and soon after I graduate, I will go back to my hometown to be with my family, Insya Allah. People call me Angah but my family love calling me Chomel(please dont ask me why)

In terms of computer skills, hmm I'm going to rate myself as...geek. Well I dont know much about softwares and all but I'm pretty good in converting video and audio and making video, post it in youtube and facebook. So yes I definitely a geek.

Computer software and hardware knowledge that I have? I know how to create video and the type of software to create it (the simple one of course window movie maker) I know how to convert video, and audio, however for hardware..nothing I guess. I cant fix the computer or anything.

Learning via computer and online is fun. The knowedge you gain is limitless. If you dont like one website you can always refer to another without moving from your place and just clicking your dinger. It gave you knowledge on the tips of your finger

Well, last practicum, that I remember, I'm using a video in class to grab my student attention. Yes they like it however there is no projector and Im using only a laptop so the students kind of swarming at the lap top but it's sure an attention grabber and make students engage a little bit longer on the lesson. I think it is a success with error.

I think the use of compter/technology in language teaching is essential. It is because computer/technology help the teachers and the students to participate in the learning process and students will have more fun in learning the langugae and it's also help the teacher as well the students to become creative.

I hope that I will learn and discover more about how and what the best way in using technology such as the web and incorporate it in language learning for my students in near future. This what I hope to gain from this course.

For academic excercise, I'm choosing literature as the topic of my research where I focus on the difficulties in learning poem among students in rural and urban area. My supervisor is Sir Mahadi and so far I've completed chapter 1 until chapter 3 and right now, I'm about to distribute my questionnare. I hope to complete my AE before May because the sooner I get it done, the better I will feel and if there any errors, I have the time to fix it. Hope it will be as what I have plan Insya Allah. All the best for this final semester Amin.
